About the position:

You will report to our COO, and work closely with senior management as they grow and develop their teams. You'll pay close attention to ensure that the details of our HR systems are in order, and you'll help implement best practices for recruiting and developing talent. You will help make our workplace both more professional and more fun at the same time. You will be a problem solver, connecting our staff with the tools, support and knowledge they need to do their best work. Some of your possible responsibilities are listed below, but you’ll be excited to tackle anything that comes your way.


This position will start as part time, with some flexibility and remote working. Possible increase to full time for someone with a broad skill-set. We're relocating from Carrboro to a spiffy new office space in downtown Durham in January 2012. Compensation is competitive and varies according to your level of experience and performance. About you:

You will demonstrate methodical attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and clear communication. You're a people-person with an upbeat attitude.

Requirements:

5+ years of work experience with great references. Solid working knowledge of spreadsheets and Powerpoint. Be comfortable learning new software and technical skills such as wiki editing. Previous experience in HR and/or in a start-up environment a plus.
